WSPA

WSPA's vision is of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends.

WSPA has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. Our work is concentrated in regions of the world where few, if any, measures exist to protect animals.

WSPA's work is focused on four priority animal welfare areas:

  • Companion animals – responsible pet ownership, humane stray management and cruelty prevention.
  • Commercial exploitation of wildlife – intensive farming and the cruel management and killing of wild animals for food or by-products.
  • Farm animals – intensive farming, long distance transport and slaughter of animals for food.
  • Disaster management – providing care to animals suffering as a result of man-made or natural disasters, and thereby protecting people's livelihoods.

Animals Australia

Animals Australia is Australia's second largest and the most dynamic national animal protection organisation, representing some 40 member societies and thousands of individual supporters.

Animals Australia has an unprecedented track record in investigating and exposing animal cruelty. In the past yearsour work has resulted in five 60 Minutes segments exposing factory farming and the live export trade and further segments highlighting animal cruelty on Today Tonight, Four Corners, A Current Affair and Landline. Investigations in the Middle East have resulted in the first ever suspension of the live export trade (to Egypt) and to a benchmark prosecution of a live export company for cruelty.

Doggie Rescue

Monika's Doggie Rescue is a private registered charity that believes in saving and re-homing as many dogs as we can from the council pounds.

For many years Monika Biernacki and a group of volunteers have been rescuing dogs from death row and successfully re-homing them with permanent and loving owners.

Many of the dogs we take are small dogs and puppies but we also take as many bigger dogs as we have carers for. Most of the dogs we rescue are cross breeds but from time to time we have pure breed dogs

Korean Animal Protection society

As well as tirelessly campaigning against the consumption of companion animals and educating the public over animal protection, we have been running a shelter for dogs, cats and a few injured wild animals. Without our intervention, most of these animals would have ended up in the cruel dog meat market. Recently we have built a new shelter in Boen and this means that our animals can enjoy more freedom and fresh air as well as we can look after more animals in desperate need. We could have achieved this because of our dedicated and committed supporters. But we need your continued support in order to carry on and expand our work for animals. Please help us to continue our work to improve the lives of Korean animals. Your contribution means so much to animals.

Cat protection Society

The Cat Protection Society of NSW Inc is an independent organisation founded in 1958 by a group of cat lovers concerned with the plight of homeless street cats. The Society began a program of low cost desexing to reduce the number of kittens and therefore, the number of cats and kittens abandoned.

Today, the Cat Protection Society is a charitable association with modern premises at 103 Enmore Road Newtown. Facilities include an adoption centre, welfare services, information and products to keep your cat happy and healthy. Sadly, we still have to deal with unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens but with your help and greater community awareness, we can continue to work to improve their lives.

Every cat deserves a loving and responsible home!

RSPCA political animal

To make a real impact on animal welfare we rely on the courage of politicians willing to speak for those that have no voice. Community standards and expectations are the biggest influencers for politicians and candidates during any election. By becoming a Political Animal you are putting animal welfare on their agenda and potentially helping to shape future animal protection legislation.

There are three law-making bodies in Australia - at the Federal, State/Territory and Local levels. They each have different roles and responsibilities when it comes to animal welfare.
